Roucas Toumba - this is not a battle cry of a wild tribe, but means "rock fall" in old Provencal.  It is the name of the property that has existed since the 18th century.   Unlike Eric and his wife, most of the 200 growers in this village of just 100 inhabitants in Vacqueyras, sell their grapes to the local cooperative.  Eric chose to follow the example of many in France’s natural wine movement, and has been farming and working in the cellar without chemicals, synthetics, or commercial additives since day one.
